Pranayama; Breathing into Stillness
As the fourth limb of Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama is a tool to support the introversion of the sense organs leading to a higher state of stillness and awareness. Pranayama, or breath control, follows ‘postures’ in the order of the limbs of Ashtanga Yoga so this class is an ‘asana’ class that focuses on preparations for deeper breathing and concludes with a powerful breathing exercise bringing the practitioners to a deep inner peace and stillness.

Won’t you take me to…Shanti Town: Relaxation with Restorative Yoga and Live Music
With busy and active lives, taking time to consciously rest and restore your body and mind is very important in maintaining physical and mental peace. Restorative yoga is the art of learning to be supported as the postures will have you being held by props while you relax deeply in shapes that promote your vitality. David will guide students into restorative poses and then serenade the busy mind to Shanti Town (Shanti is the Sanskrit word for Peace) with live music.

Introduction to Thai Massage; A journey into Surrender
Thai Massage is a healing art that restores balance to the body. It is rejuvenating for both the giver and receiver, as it focuses on the cultivation and transmission of metta (loving kindness). Channeling the warmth of the heart into the hands, it uses passive yoga stretches to open energy lines in the receiver. This workshop will begin with warm up and techniques for the giver and conclude with a guided shared massage experience between you and one other participant. No previous bodywork experience is necessary. You can come alone or with a pre-chosen partner and all boundaries are respected and enforced.
-All participants should wear loose fitting long pants and shirts with sleeves and we are open to all levels and experience
18:00 - 19:30 h
Vinyasa Focus: Backbending
An all levels Vinyasa class with a focus on backbending for physical and energetic opening of the upper chest / heart.

Kirtan: Ecstatic Chanting
Part of the centuries old practice of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. In Kirtan, practitioners chant mantras as a means of invoking the qualities of various deities to empower their lives. There is no experience necessary, and best of all, it is an open and safe environment to sing and be free in a light and fun way. The opening comes from your devotion and intention behind the mantras we sing. David will lead the chanting in call and response style and playing guitar.
